A 20-minute trial checklist
- Connect a test Instagram Professional account using the official login.
- Create a keyword automation on one Reel and comment from a second account.
- Check the DM arrives, the link works, and the click is counted.
- Reply to the DM and confirm you can take over the chat.
- Find the limits page and note what happens at the cap.
- Cancel the trial and check how clearly the vendor shows you how.

Four ways AutoDM tools charge, and why it matters
The headline price tells you less than the pricing model. The same audience can cost very different amounts depending on what the tool counts.
Per contact
ManyChat and Inro count contacts (Inro counts those used in automations). The bill rises as your audience grows, so estimate it at your own contact count.
Per DM sent
ReplyRush and LinkDM sell monthly DM volumes. A viral Reel uses up your allowance faster, so check what happens at the cap.
Flat plan with caps
SuperProfile, CreatorFlow, InstantDM and ReplyKaro charge a flat monthly price. Caps still apply (accounts, automations or DMs), so read the limits.
Credits
Flowgent and SetSmart meter messages or AI messages. Cost follows usage, which suits low volume and punishes spikes.
Rules every tool has to follow
These come from Meta's developer documentation and apply to all Instagram DM tools, including ReplyKaro.
- A comment can receive one private reply, sent within 7 days of the comment.
- Your account must be an Instagram Professional account (Business or Creator).
- After the person replies, the standard 24-hour messaging window applies.
- Meta caps private replies per hour. A good tool sends within that cap and queues the rest instead of failing.
- Tools that ask for your Instagram password, or run through a browser extension, are outside Meta's rules.

A worked example: the same audience under different pricing models
Imagine 2,500 people interact with your content in a month and you send each one a DM. A per-contact tool counts those 2,500 contacts; ManyChat's pricing page lists its Pro plan at $29 a month billed yearly for 2,500 contacts. A per-DM tool counts 2,500 DMs against a monthly allowance. A flat-plan tool, such as ReplyKaro at $3 a month for Starter, charges the same whether the number is 250 or 25,000, until you reach the plan's limits (30,000 DMs a month on Starter).
Now imagine the audience doubles after one viral Reel. Per-contact bills rise with it, per-DM tools use up the allowance, and flat plans stay the same until a cap. Estimate your own numbers before you compare headline prices.

Is ReplyKaro safe for my Instagram account?
ReplyKaro uses Instagram's official API, never asks for your password and only messages people who commented a keyword, replied to your Story or messaged you. It sends within its own hourly limits, set below Meta's. No tool can guarantee an account will never be restricted.
How accurate is the competitor information?

Can I switch tools without losing my audience?
Your followers are on Instagram, not in the tool. You rebuild your keyword automations in the new tool; conversation history stays in the old one, so export contacts first if it allows. Pause the old automation on a post before enabling the new one, because Instagram allows one private reply per comment.
Which AutoDM tool is best for beginners?
One with a free plan, a clear limits page and a short setup. Test two or three on a real Reel before you decide.
Do I need to pay for an AutoDM tool?
Not to start. ReplyKaro and several other tools list free plans (see the comparison tables above for limits and sources). Pay when you hit a limit or need a feature that sits on a paid plan.
