What to compare before you pick

  • Does it connect through Instagram's official login and never ask for your password?
  • Is there a free plan you can test with your own account, and what are its limits?
  • Is pricing flat, per contact, per DM or credit based? Estimate your real monthly bill.
  • Which features sit behind paid plans: Story automation, follow-gating, multiple accounts, API?
  • What happens at the cap: pause, queue or extra charge?
  • Can you see which links people tap, and can a person take over a chat?

Where ReplyKaro fits

ReplyKaro sends a DM when someone comments a keyword on a Reel or post, replies to a Story or messages you, on Instagram and Facebook Messenger. The free plan includes 1 Instagram account, 3 active automations and 1,000 DMs a month, with Follow-Gate and Fan Mode. Paid plans start at ₹99 a month in India or $3 a month elsewhere; Pro (₹299 (India) or $9 a month with unlimited automations and DMs) removes automation and DM caps.

ReplyKaro does not do WhatsApp. If WhatsApp Business API messaging is your main need, use a WhatsApp platform and consider ReplyKaro for Instagram alongside it.

What changed with ManyChat's free plan

ManyChat's pricing page (checked 12 October 2026) lists a Free plan with 25 active contacts and up to 4 active automations, Essential at $14 a month for 250 contacts and Pro at $29 a month for 2,500 contacts, with plan prices shown for annual billing. Its Help Center billing FAQ, updated 27 August 2026, describes the plans from before 2 March 2026 (a 1,000-contact free limit and Pro from $15 for 500 contacts). It says the new plans apply to accounts created on or after 2 March 2026.

Accounts created before 2 March 2026 may still be on the older plans. Check the subscription screen in your own ManyChat account.

Free plan traps to check

  • The cap counts contacts, DMs or conversations: these are not the same thing.
  • A cap that blocks new people silently is worse than a cap that queues them.
  • Branding on your messages.
  • Features held back: Story automation, follow-gating, exports, multiple accounts.
  • Whether the free plan has an end date.

Moving your automations

  • List your active automations: post, keyword, message.
  • Rebuild the top three in the new tool first and test them with a second account.
  • Pause the old automation on each post before you switch the new one on, so people are not messaged twice.
  • Export contacts from the old tool if it allows it.
  • Keep the old account until the new one has run for a week.

Moving from ManyChat to ReplyKaro, step by step

  • Export your contacts from ManyChat if your plan allows it, and keep the file.
  • List the automations that matter: the post, the keyword and the message for each.
  • Create the same automations in ReplyKaro and test each with a second account.
  • Turn off the matching ManyChat automation on a post before you enable the new one, so no one is messaged twice (Instagram allows one private reply per comment).
  • Rebuild multi-step conversations in the Flow Builder, and check buttons and steps.
  • Keep your ManyChat account until the new setup has run for at least a week.

Questions to ask about any free plan

Checking a free plan
QuestionWhy it matters
What exactly is capped: contacts, DMs, automations or accounts? The cap decides how soon you outgrow the plan
What happens at the cap? Some tools stop sending, some queue, some charge
Is there branding on messages? It changes how your DMs look to customers
Is there a time limit or only a trial?A trial ends; a free plan does not
Can you export your contacts? You can leave without losing your list

What to rebuild first when you move

  • Comment keyword automations on your best-performing posts.
  • Story reply and mention automations, if you use them.
  • Lead capture steps that collect emails or phone numbers.
  • Follow-before-link steps, if you use them.
  • Anything with branching buttons, built in the Flow Builder.

What you might miss when you switch

  • ManyChat supports more channels, such as WhatsApp, TikTok, SMS and email, in a single account.
  • Its template library and community are larger.
  • Your team may already know it. Switching costs time.
  • If you rely on those, staying or using both tools can make sense.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Is ReplyKaro safe for my Instagram account?

ReplyKaro uses Instagram's official API, never asks for your password and only messages people who commented a keyword, replied to your Story or messaged you. It sends within its own hourly limits, set below Meta's. No tool can guarantee an account will never be restricted.

How accurate is the competitor information?

We checked each vendor's public pricing and help pages on 12 October 2026. Plans change often, so confirm on the vendor's site. If you spot an error, or you represent a vendor listed here, email hello@replykaro.com and we will correct it within 7 days.

Can I switch tools without losing my audience?

Your followers are on Instagram, not in the tool. You rebuild your keyword automations in the new tool; conversation history stays in the old one, so export contacts first if it allows. Pause the old automation on a post before enabling the new one, because Instagram allows one private reply per comment.
